About Cooper Cross
At just 16 years old, Cooper Cross is already making a name for himself as one of the Mississippi Gulf Coast's emerging singer-songwriters. With a deep appreciation for the music that shaped generations before him, Cooper combines timeless influences with heartfelt storytelling to create songs that feel both nostalgic and refreshingly original.
A native of Biloxi, Mississippi, Cooper grew up surrounded by music and developed a love for artists spanning every genre. His greatest inspiration comes from the unforgettable sounds of the 1950s, '60s, '70s, and '80s—a passion that shines through in his songwriting. His debut original song, "The Good Ol' Days", celebrates the music of those decades and earned him a place at the 2024 Songwriters Summer Camp at the Country Music Hall of Fame. The following year, he returned after receiving the Evan Twitty Memorial Scholarship, recognizing his talent as a young instrumentalist.
Cooper is an active member of the Mississippi Songwriters Alliance and has been selected to perform in the Mississippi Songwriters Festival Youth Showcase for the past three years. Whether performing an original song or discovering inspiration from the artists who came before him, he is dedicated to writing music that connects with audiences through honest lyrics and memorable melodies.
